We live in a world where our worthiness and identity are often attached to what we have achieved and how much we can get done in a day, week, year, etc. And when we grow up learning that our primary…

    AVOCADO TUNA SPRING MIX SALAD

This is the perfect lunch or dinner recipe because it has such a great balance of foods. You get some protein from the tuna, some healthy fats from the avocado, a serving or two of a variety of vegetables and some crunch from the crackers. This recipe hits all the marks of a healthy and balanced meal, and has become such a staple in my diet. In addition, this recipe is gluten and dairy free, as well as having a super minimal ingredient list. I love to prep this ahead of time for my work lunches and it lasts until the end of the week.   Avocado Tuna Spring Mix Salad…

    MY AFTER WORK ROUTINE

Hi everyone! Welcome back to The Dairy Free Diaries! Hope you guys had an amazing week. Today’s blog post is all about what I do after work to keep myself sane from 32-hour work weeks on top of studying for the LSAT.   One word- Reflective:  I use this word because right about now is the one-year anniversary from when the COVID pandemic started and completely changed the world as we know it. I find myself thinking back to what my life looked like a year ago and I am shocked. This past year has been such a growth period for me, physically and mentally. It feels like that person I used to be just…

    MY MORNING ROUTINE

Welcome back to this week’s post on The Dairy Free Diaries! I hope you guys have had an amazing week, but if not that’s okay too. Not every week is going to be great, but as long as you are able to pick yourself back up, that’s all that matters. One word – Energizing: It was pretty weird this week. I had this crazy amount of energy that came out of nowhere. It was so weird how different my energy levels became this week, and honestly, I believe that it was because the morning routine, which I discuss later, finally kicked in. I started adding a lot of positive and…

CHINESE CHICKEN SALAD WITH A CREAMY PEANUT DRESSING

Hi everyone! Welcome back to The Dairy Free Diaries! I hope you guys had a great week. In today’s post I am sharing my absolute favorite salad recipe, which I will get to in a minute. But first, I just want to check in with you guys and talk about my week. One word – Exhausting: I want to start off by explaining what I mean by “exhausting”. I guess that word sort of has a negative connotation but for me, this perfectly describes my week in a more positive way. From Monday through Thursday, I had to get up at 6am every morning for my new job. Before this…

Stress 101: How to Reduce It and Why You Should

Hi everyone! This week’s topic is all about stress, which is something I think is not talked about enough. I know that in my experience, stress is something I would continually choose to ignore. And by choosing to ignore it, it impacted many aspects of my life. If I were stressed out about school, it would not allow me to focus when I was doing other things. My mind was constantly thinking about this and that and I just felt so overwhelmed by my thoughts. It became very hard to concentrate and live in the moment because I was always so worried about something. It became unbearable and was interfering…

My Top 5 Tips for Cutting Out Intolerant/Sensitive Foods

Food sensitivities can have such large impacts and I can attest that they have caused pretty significant adjustments of the lifestyle I used to live. About two years ago, I started to experience extremely harsh stomach issues, which I later found out to be due to a gluten and dairy sensitivity. With hard work and dedication, I was able to heal my gluten sensitivity completely (feel free to check out my blog post to learn how I did this). At this point in my life, I have created a lifestyle that I truly love and enjoy, while also complying with my dairy sensitivity. To be honest, it took a lot…
