About Me
Hi everyone! My name is Meagan Tadeusiak and I am from Santa Clarita, CA. I am 20 years old and currently studying biology in college with aspirations to become an environmental lawyer.
Although my career path is law, I also have a passionate interest in all things health and wellness. I am a firm believer in whole body health and the changes I have implemented into my lifestyle have allowed me to transform my life into the healthiest version it has ever been. The whole body health mentality has also helped me on my journey dealing with food sensitivities and gut issues. I have struggled with gluten and dairy sensitivities for 2 years, until recently when I was able to cure my gluten sensitivity on my own.
Throughout my journey with my gluten and dairy sensitivities, I found that there wasn’t many resources for tips and tricks for fostering a lifestyle around these health issues. I found it to be very overwhelming and extremely difficult to adjust to eating new foods, changing my activities, among other things. Although it was a very steep learning curve, I was able to create a lifestyle around these issues that I am truly happy and proud of. And I hope that my blog can be that resource that I never had for anyone dealing with food sensitivities or other gut issues because I know how difficult and harsh it can affect both physical and mental health.
I’m here to show you that you are not alone! I am here to share my story so that those dealing with gut health issues won’t feel as overwhelmed as I did and can take this new lifestyle head on!
What I do
Reading
This is one of my favorite ways to de-stress at the end of the day and slow down. During quarantine I picked up this hobby and I find its such a good way to detach and give my mind a rest from everyday life. Whether it be for 10 minutes or for 1 hour, I make time for this everyday because its a priority. I’m not much of a fiction reader, but I love a good self development book that I can learn from. So why not knock two birds out with one stone!
Yoga
Yoga is an integral part of my daily routine. The feeling of having movement first thing in the morning gives me the energy to start my day. This is also my go-to if I feel myself dozing off while studying or feel overwhelmed. It allows me to take 5-10 minutes to move, breathe, and relax. I think that it is important to take breaks and this is such a refreshing way to pause and allows me to get myself back on track.
Journaling
I am the kind of person who is always thinking; whether it be about my to-do list or something I watched the other day. And for so long I felt so overwhelmed by this until I started to journal. Every morning I write down how I want my day to go; feelings, goals, etc. At night, I will write about what’s been on my mind. This combination has really allowed me to have a greater sense of clarity and not feel so overtaken by my thoughts.
